State Route 309 between the Allen County line and the Kenton will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for resurfacing. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.
Ada Area Chamber of Commerce recently joined the southern Ohio Chamber Alliance (SOCA), and now offers its members several new benefits, according to Heather Cox, chamber board president.
"We are very excited to offer our members these benefits," said Cox. "The SOCA benefit program provides small business members health insurance benefits.
Ada junior high has volleyball open gym twice a week for two hours during June and July.
Lindsay Walden, coach for the past three years, works alongside Kristie Steiner, elementary art teacher. The girls’ first match will be at 5 p.m. on Aug. 20 against Ridgemont.

Ivory Shepherd, age 80, died on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 12:56 a.m. at Shawnee Manor, Lima.
He was born on April 21, 1938 in Langley, Kentucky to the late George and Lucie (Moore) Shepherd. On the October 30, 1959 Ivory married his former wife, Joyce Elaine Shepherd who survives in Waynesfield.
Ivory was permanently disabled from a stroke in 1963, but never let his disability get in the way of raising his three boys and being there for his family and friends.
