I moved to Ada approximately 3 years ago along with my husband, who found a faculty position at Ohio Northern University (ONU). One of the many concerns I had moving to Ada was whether my then 6 year old son could find adequate resources for intellectual stimulation.

I am a proud momma. My youngest son (Jeremy Hoschak) is a competitive cheerleader for CAPITAL CITY Gymnastics & Cheer in Findlay and my oldest is #63 (Jakob Hoschak) on the Ada High School football team. So that is how I came up with CHEER 63.
Sorry, but I wasn't even born in 1963, but I do cheer for Ada and Capital City.
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the 31st Annual Harvest & Herb Festival sponsored by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, September 17. It is always so great to see all the vendors, shoppers, and friends of Ada converging on Main Street for a great festival! The proceeds from the festival are put back into projects to enhance the Ada community each year.
Have you visited the Ada Public Library recently or used their user-friendly website? At the Library, you and your family have opportunities for free Wi-Fi, free computer usage, free notary service, voter registration, and excellent programs for babies through adults, including book discussions for tweens and adults.
The Ada Public Library is asking the community to support a five-year RENEWAL levy—no new taxes! The Library will have a one (1) mill levy on the November 8 ballot for the purpose of current expenses.
2016 Red Cross Learn To Swim Program is completed for this summer. 62 students participated in the 10 hot days of lessons! We had great weather this year.
I would like to thank the Village of Ada for the facility to hold the lessons. The water was wonderful, the pool area was always clean and ready for our use and the lifeguards were very attentive to the swimmers. The pool staff had the facility open and ready for the volunteers and swimmers every morning.
Summer is here and so is the time for Red Cross Swimming Lessons! As in past years the Ada Learn To Swim Program is in need of aides to assist with the lessons.
Ages 12 and up, including adults are encouraged to sign up to help others learn swimming skills. As little as an hour each day of lessons is helpful. Lessons begin the week of July 11 for 2 weeks Monday through Friday each week.
Help is needed on deck for paperwork as well as in the water. You do not need to be a good swimmer to help others...we'll help you as well:)
