Donors help food pantry supply supplemental food on weekends

The Bulldog Blessings Backpack Program, which provides food for students who might not have access to sufficient nutritious food at home, is back for Fall 2024 at Ada Elementary School. Coordinator Beth Gray explains that this summer the Ada Food Pantry “made an appeal and it really worked. The community came through–we appreciate it!”

After emailing and posting on Facebook, the nonprofit received pledges of support from local churches, individuals and the following businesses and groups:

On August 20, 2024 the Village of Ada online bill payment company in preparation for a new upgrade accidentally made the new platform active and at the same time shut down the old platform.

During this time customers who set up an account to access online bill pay prior to August 20, 2024 were not able to access their accounts and were receiving login errors.

As of September 17, 2024 those issues have been resolved and you will be able to login to your account without any issues. If you created an online account from August 20, 2024 to September 17, 2024 that account will not be accessible and you will need to set up an online account again.

Inclement weather on Saturday has delayed the street maintenance paving project until today, Monday, September 30.

The paving contractor  is currently working on South Park and will move to north Johnson next. Afternoon work will include both downtown alleys and the top course of Pebble Court.

Again, this is all weather dependent.
