What classes are you taking this semester? Hannah: English, Algebra II, Art III, Anatomy, Government, Spanish III and Crafts. Alexis: Crafts, Spanish IV, English, Algebra II, Anatomy, Government and Spanish II. Bri: Varsity Singers, English, French IV, Algebra III, Government, Art III and Anatomy.
President-Elect Heather Cox called the 20th meeting (March 5) of the 2012–2013 Kiwanis Year to order at noon at the New China Restaurant, downtown, Ada.
Ada High School varsity basketball cheerleaders will participate in a Hardin County Family YMCA Made To Move Tumbling and Cheer Exhibition on Saturday in Kenton. The event takes place at 6:30 p.m.
In addition to Ada's cheerleaders 70 tumblers (ages 3-18) and the Hardin Heat Cheerleaders will participate. This event is free and open to the public.
Hardin Heat cheerleaders will be holding a 50/50 drawing, a prize raffle, and accepting donations at the door to help cover traveling expenses for the U.S. Finals competition. If you would like to make a donation, please contact the number below.
Richland Manor, Swaney Road Bluffton, hosted a chili cook off on Feb. 21. Over 70 people attended the event, which featured 14 varieties of chili.
The winners follow:
• First place and winner of $100: Russ Goedde for his Sante Fe Chili
• Second place and winner of $75: Roberta Beemer for her Sausage Chili
• Third place and winner of $50: Edwin and Gwynne Sortenson for their White Chicken Chili
