It was a “very, very” Merry on Main downtown Ada on Monday evening. The annual Ada Area Chamber of Commerce launch of the Christmas season grows each year, attracting young and old.
Consider:
• Over 375 youth visited Santa Claus at First United Methodist Church
• 100 youth goody bags from Liberty National Bank were given away at the depot within minutes of its opening for the evening
• 15 dozen cookies disappears at about the same time at the depot
The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Community Service Awards, Women LEAD Professional Excellence Award, Young Professional Leadership Award, and (new this year) Emerging Business Award.
A free Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP) takes place in Ada this month.
Area Agency on Aging, Lima, will hold free workshops at Community Health Professionals, 1200 S. Main St., Ada, on Mondays and Thursdays, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays from Dec. 2 through Dec. 19.
