Ada-Liberty Township fire chief, Jay Epley, posted a YouTube video to area voters to support the Nov. 6 fire levy.
He said that the Nov. 6 ballot will find a 1 mill, five-year tax levy to replace the department’s oldest truck, which equates to $100 a year for five years on property with an assessed valuation of $100,000.

Jon Cross, president and CEO of the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance, speaks at a forum about the opioid crisis.
During the meeting Thursday night in Dicke Hall, Cross and two other business leaders discussed how illicit drugs affect business.
They noted that with the current high employment rate, business and industry have a more difficult time finding employees. Drug tests are required by many human resource personnel and employment agencies. Some test-takers fail, making hiring even more arduous.
Hunter Purdy and Kaitlyn Long, both Ada High School May graduates, received the FFA’s American Degree at the group’s national convention in Indianapolis last weekend.

An all-morning, drippy-drizzle didn’t dampen the enthusiasm for the ONU Homecoming parade as units traveled down Main Street on Saturday morning. In fact, it could be said that the parade-goers and the float-riders were the most boisterous in the past 50 years.
Rain cut the number of parade spectators, but those on hand clapped and yelled louder than ever as the fire trucks, floats, and bands traveled past. And, those on floats returned the clamor of the bystanders.
