Senior Citizens meetings planned

Ada Senior Citizens programs for April include:

 

Wednesday, April 12, lunch at Table One in Kenton. Carpool from Community Health Professionals in Ada at 11:15 a.m. There will be cards and board games following lunch.

 

Wednesday, April 25, 12:30 p.m., meet at Community Health Professionals for snacks, cards, and board games.

Quiet! testing underway.

Testing is the major focus in April at Ada elementary. Information about the testing is part of the April elementary school newsletter. Here is information parents and caregivers need to know about the tests.

All tests are scheduled for morning administration in the following schedule:

• Monday, April 16 - English Language Arts part 1, grades 3-6
• Wednesday, April 18 - English Language Arts part 2, grades 3-6
• Monday, April 23 - Mathematics part 1, grades 3-6
• Wednesday, April 25 - Mathematics part 2, grades 3-6
• Tuesday, May 1 - Science, grade 5

Last day of school moved to May 25

Due to recent snow day

Ada schools have adjusted the school calendar due to the most recent snow day.
One make-up day is required at this time. That means that the last day of school is Friday, May 25.

Home school recreation class offered by BFR

Friday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m.

A new addition to Bluffton Family Recreation’s class offerings to youth this spring is a home school recreation class, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

The class is open to youth of all ages and is held on Fridays from 10 to 11 a.m. in the BFR indoor soccer arena, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.

Tinch said that the class offers lots of different physical education opportunities for homeschooled youth.

Free Ada High School Winter Guard performance

The award-winning Ada Winter Guards will give a free community performance at 8 p.m. on Monday April 16, in the K-12 gym. The Ada High School Winter Guard, Ada High School Dance Line, and Ada Junior High Winter Guard will perform. All three teams have been undefeated in Ohio Indoor Performance Association competition this season.

Village tax filing help available

A representative from Central Collection Agency (CCA) will be on hand from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, at the Depot to assist in filling out village income tax forms. The CCA annually sends someone to Ada to assist in completing the tax forms. 

A list of frequently asked questions, as well as e-filing services may be found on CCA’s website: http://www.ccatax.ci.cleveland.oh.us/.
