Kevin Mierzejewski, flying in a light sport aircraft, captured photos of some of the giant wind turbines now being placed just east of Ada.
• The turbines are gigantic compared to the three at ONU and the one at Ada Schools. The tower of these is 300 feet high, the blade is 150 feet long, thus when a blade is pointing up, the turbine reaches 450 feet from the ground.
• The placement has been described as north of Dola and Dunkirk, but in reality the "turbine farm" begins just three miles west of town near SR81 and CR 75 (near Sugar Grove UM Church). They are visible from Ada, if trees do not obstruct one's view.

It's safer to walk or ride a bicycle along the sidewalks in Ada after members of the tree commission and ONU students trimmed some of the low branches on the trees on Saturday morning.
Commission members plan a tree trimming session each fall.
These three commission members, volunteering their time, handling some serious equipment, plan to head out on the job. From left are Jim Neiswander, Angela Polachek, and Jamie Hall.
In the photo below members of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity help trim trees (from left) Luke Franks, Alex Hoskins, Kyle Kahle, and Colten Tepe.

Jimmy Wilson's Ohio Northern University Historical Geography class assignment was: Create a short film about a part of local history, either on campus or in the community.
The resulting films focused on four areas (click on each bold face topic to access those videos):
• ONU sport history videos- 5 video - These videos all detail histories of ONU athletic programs and teams, from the emergence of women’s sports to the new soccer stadium.
