ReStore Community Center provided 1,250 free lunches to Ada area youth at War Memorial Park this year.
A special week was held in June when members of law enforcement, the ambulance service, and the fire department had personnel and equipment on hand to explain their responsibilities to the children.
Fridays was always a popular day because prizes were handed out to all and water activities were available.
This was the fifth year that ReStore provided the lunches. Calvin Fisher has headed up the lunches and activities for the past several years.

News rules by the Ohio Medical, Dental and Nursing Boards go into effect this week for prescribers using opioids to treat acute pain. The provisions of the new rules are designed to address overprescribing of opioid medications to reduce possible abuse and diversion.
In general, the rules limit the prescribing of opioid analgesics for acute pain to a seven-day supply for adults and a five-day supply for minors. Additionally, the total morphine equivalent dose (MED) of a prescription for acute pain cannot exceed an average of 30 MED per day. The limits do not apply to chronic pain, cancer, palliative care, end-of- life/hospice care or medication-assisted treatment for addiction.

Traffic is now reduced to one lane through a work zone from approximately County Road 304 to U.S. Route 30.
The one-lane means traffic stands still in one direction, while traffic from the other direction moves.
The work involves pavement repair and resurfacing performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.
Other State Route 235 work, but not directly involving Ada traffic, involves 235 from the south corporation limit of Alger to State Route 309, which is also being repaired.
