Want to watch Ada's baseball team play at 5/3 Field in Toledo?
The Ada HS baseball team will play Riverdale High School at 5/3 Field, home of the Toledo Mud Hens, on Tuesday, April 18.
In order to play in the minor league stadium the team must sell 300 ticket vouchers to a Mud Hens regular season game. The vouchers are $12 and may be redeemed for entry into any Mud Hens game during the 2017 season. Persons interested may contact any team member or the baseball coach.

Meri Skilliter, new Ada school superintendent, talked with members of the Ada Kiwanis Club earlier this week. She joined Ada schools on Jan. 1.
Skilliter told members about the “Every Student Succeeds Act.” In 2015 President Obama signed the Every Student Succeeds Act (or ESSA), an overhaul of federal education law.
Skilliter said, that passed with bipartisan support, ESSA represents a shift from broad federal oversight of primary and secondary education to greater flexibility and decision making at the state and local levels. The law replaces the No Child Left Behind Act.

Beaver Excavating Co., Canton, is the apparent low bidder for a project, which will reconstruct and widen Interstate 75 through Findlay and Hancock County beginning this spring.
The apparent successful bid was $113.2 million. The contract will be officially awarded in approximately two weeks once a review of all bidding documents is complete.
The project will take place from just south of Harrison Street/County Road 144, which is just south of the Ohio 15/U.S. Route 68 interchange, to the County Road 99 interchange in Findlay.
