HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team won its second consecutive match on Thursday morning as it swept Catholic (Wash.) 9-0 at Hilton Head Motorcoach Resort.

The Polar Bears improve to 6-2 on the season, while the Cardinals drop to 3-5.

Sophomore Connor Christian (Gallipolis/Gallia Academy) won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, while freshman Drew Sarno (Elida) earned a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles to lead Northern.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — Senior Lynn Kelly (Mason) and sophomore Mackenzie Wills(Ada) led the Ohio Northern women's tennis team as it wrapped up its spring break trip with a tight 5-4 loss to Coe (Iowa) in Altamonte, Florida.

The Polar Bears fall to 8-3 overall, while the Kohawks improve to 12-8.

Wills went 2-0 to lead Northern, posting a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles and teaming up with sophomore Kaleigh Cummins (Springfield/Northeastern) to win 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.

The Ohio Northern women's tennis team defeated Emerson (Mass.) to post its fourth straight victory on Wednesday evening at the USTA National Tennis Campus in Orlando, Fla. The Polar Bears improve to 9-2 on the season. Mackenzie Wills (Ada) picked up a victory at singles and doubles.

SEWANEE, Tenn. — The Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team fell 15-1 at Sewanee (Tenn.) in its final contest of its spring break trip on Wednesday evening at Hardee-McGee Field.

The Polar Bears fall to 2-2 overall, while the Tigers improve to 6-1 overall.

Sophomore Ann McArn (Bay Village/Western Reserve Academy) scored the lone Northern goal to lead the Polar Bears.

AUBURNDALE, Fla. — The Ohio Northern baseball team swept Wentworth (Mass.) 10-0, 7-4 on Wednesday afternoon in a twinbill during the RussMatt Invitational in Auburndale, Fla. The Polar Bears improve to 4-1.

Senior Jason Burkett (Maumee) led the way for Northern during the contests, going a combined 4-for-6 at the plate and adding a game-one pitching victory to his afternoon. Burkett also tallied four RBI and three runs scored.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Ohio Northern rallied in the seventh inning to post a pair of come-from-behind softball victories over Lebanon Valley (Pa.) and Misericordia (Pa.) on Tuesday afternoon at the Sunkissed Games at Osceola Park.

The Polar Bears remain undefeated at 6-0 and off to their best start since the 2009 squad opened the season 13-0.
