ALFRED, N.Y. — The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team overcame a 4-2 halftime deficit and rallied to defeat Alfred (N.Y.) 9-6 on Saturdayafternoon at Yunevich Stadium. The Polar Bears move to 6-1 on the season.
Seven Polar Bears scored for ONU, led by 2-goal efforts from junior Noah St. Croix(Rochester, N.Y./Irondequoit) and sophomore Patrick Moran (Austin, Tex./Bowie).
Ohio Northern senior Amy Bullimore (Morrow/Little Miami) has been named Honorable Mention All-America by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for her efforts during the 2017-18 campaign.
The senior is now a 2-time All-American, after being named Honorable Mention All-America by the WBCA for the second consecutive season.
Bullimore capped off her career in historic fashion this season, rewriting the record books at Ohio Northern.
The Ohio Northern men's outdoor track and field team has been selected to finish third in the team standings in the annual Ohio Athletic Conference coaches poll voted on by the leagues 10 head coaches. Mount Union and John Carroll were picked first and second.
Northern finished second in the outdoor standings a season ago and posted its fourth consecutive top-3 finish.

Mount Union was picked to finish second with 69 points and three first place votes, while Otterbein rounded out the top-3 with 65 points and the final two first place votes.
Northern won the team title last season for the first time in eight years.
Five Ohio Northern student-athletes were named Scholar All-America in wrestling for 2017-18 by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.
Seniors Gavin Nelson (Oregon/Clay) and Alex Bair (Centerville), junior Clayton Davidson(Kirtland), sophomore Seth Transue (Plain City/Dublin) and freshman Alex Kowal(Cincinnati/Bishop Fenwick) all earned the honor.
The five honorees is the most in ONU program history. The Polar Bears were also named a Scholar All-America team and ranked 19th nationally with an impressive 3.47 team GPA.

Ada High School held its winter sports awards banquet Tuesday evening.
Most Valuable athletes in each sport were: Connor Frazier (boys
basketball); Maddie Gossard (girls basketball); Chase Sumner (wrestling);
Zach Beaschler (boys swimming); Klava Katayama (girls swimming); Lyric
Jones and Anabel Alexander (cheerleading).
