The holiday windows of Ada
By Monty Siekerman
Jenny Grant, with a little help from her husband, Rhett, painted the big front window of the Ada Public Library for the window decorating contest.
You don't often associate attorneys with being artists (Jenny practiced law near Atlanta before moving to Ada last summer) but she honed her window drawing talent when she was a teenager working for a movie theater.
Back then, she'd occasionally draw a picture on the theater window telling passers-by what was playing. Rhett, the new library director, helped some...by coloring in the building, tree, and wording.
You'll have your chance to vote on the best window display by picking up a ballot at the Railroad Depot between 5:30-7 p.m. on Monday during Merry on Main.
