Store owner Laurie Laird said, "Fairy gardens are popular and fun for people of all ages. It's a family thing with grandparents, parents, grandchildren and friends attending."
She said, "One can be creative in the choice of container, plants, and accessories, as well as deciding where to place the finished product in the home or outside."
Workshoppers can bring their own containers or purchase one at the store. The company will provide the soil.
Fairy gardens usually have a theme, such as a farm, gnomes, castles, woodland.
New Leaf has many accessories available to purchase to complete the theme.
