VFW ‘Thank You” letter

The Ada VFW Ream McElroy Post 9381 held its second annual “Tee up for a Vet” Golf Scramble at the Colonial Golfer’s Club on Saturday. It turned out to be a beautiful day as 13 teams teed off at 10 a.m.

Along with many other golfer’s games along the way, on Hole # 4, we had a competition for a hole-in-one.  Tommy Tire of Ada provided a truck as the prize.

Sad to say, no one won the truck.

The team of Austin Oglesbee, Ryan Risner, Jeremy Wilson, and Troy Hunsicker won the first place prize of $300 with a round of 60.

Door prizes donated by many merchants and individuals were awarded at the end of the outing, and during lunch.

Our outing for next year is scheduled for Saturday, May  11, 2019.  Save the date.

The Ada VFW Post 9381 donates money and help where needed in the community and surrounding areas.  In the last five years, the VFW post has donated over $75,000 to local civic/charitable organizations, families, schools and veterans.
