Mabel L. Wright, 71, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 9:08 p.m. at Vancrest of Ada.

She was born on May 16, 1949 in Foraker, Ohio, to Franzel and Virgie (Prater) Castle who preceded her in death. On Oct. 12, 1968, Mabel married Gary D. Wright and he preceded her in death on June 2, 1992. 

Mabel retired from Wilson Football Factory of Ada where she worked as a lacer.  She was a member of the Kenton Moose Lodge #428 and the Liberty Grange. 

Anna Imogene Cope, 95, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 9:08 p.m. at the Lost Creek Care Center, Lima.

The name she went by was Imogene. She was born on May 6, 1925, near Kenton to the late Carl and Tressie (Roth) Rapp. On August 10, 1946, she married Joseph Arthur Cope and they had one child. Her husband preceded her in death March 3, 2003.  

She was a homemaker and believer in the Pentecostal Church.   

Imogene is survived by her son, Joseph Gary Cope of Lima.

Private family graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, at a later date.

 Anthony C. “Tony” Simon, 65, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 3:01 a.m. at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

He was born on Sept. 4, 1955, in Allen County, Ohio to the late Sylvan and Wanda (Morrison) Simon. On July 5, 2013, Tony married Linda Ries and she survives in Ada.

Tony retired from Associated Plastics of Ada. He was a loyal Cleveland Brown’s fan.

 Ralph M. Worrell, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 1:10 p.m. at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

He was born on Oct. 5, 1934, in Jackson Township, Ohio, to the late Roy Orr and Hazel Vesta (Harshe) Worrell.   On Jan. 26, 1957, he married his loving wife of 64 years, Patsy F. Long, and she resides at Vancrest of Ada.

 Eugene Wright,  71, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021, at 8:05 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born on January 19, 1950, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Okie and Alta (Puckett) Wright.  On Dec. 21, 1969, Eugene married Karen Meeker and she survives in Harrod.

Eugene retired from Proctor & Gamble after working for over 20 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Eugene was an advisor for over 20 years for the Allen County Junior Horseman 4-H Club.  He was a member of the A.Q.H.A.  Eugene was referred to as the last “Real Cowboy,” and Eugene was a life time mentor to others.  He was a loving husband, father, Papa and Great Papa. 

Ernest Samuel “Sam” Nitchie, 79, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 1:44 p.m. at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born on Nov. 19, 1941, in Hunter, Kentucky, to the late John and Mattie Nitchie.  On April 4, 1969, Sam married Marilyn Clemons who survives in Ada.
