Four from Ada among Hardin Leadership grads

Four members of the Ada community are among graduates in the 26th Hardin Leadership program on Oct. 11.

They are:
Patty King—Quest Federal Credit Union
J. Mark Wipper—ONU, Colege of Arts and Sciences
Jamie Hall—Ada Village Administrator
Rhett Grant—Ada Public Library

Nineteen Hardin Leadership 2018 participants will be recognized for
completing the eight session program on Thursday,  Oct. 11, at the
Elk’s Lodge Banquet Room, 117 E. Franklin St., Kenton. 

Gathering begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner buffet beginning at 6 p.m. 

Lady Bulldog kickers fall to Coldwater

COLDWATER - The Ada girls soccer team was shut out 4-0 at Coldwater in a makeup match Tuesday evening.

The Lady Bulldogs fell to 3-5 with the defeat.

Coldwater scored all four of its goals in the first half.

"The first 15 minutes were evenly matched," said Ada head coach Doug Poling.

Coldwater then broke the scoreless tie to net the first goal by getting past the Bulldog defense for a breakaway shot.

The Lady Cavaliers then tallied three more goals before intermission.

Bulldog Hull match medalist

BLUFFTON - Ada junior Ethan Hull continued his strong play by finishing first in a regular-season ending Northwest Conference tri-match Tuesday evening at the Bluffton Golf Course.

Hull fired a career-best 41 to lead all golfers in the 18-player field.

Paulding won the event with 175 strokes, followed by Bluffton (182) and Ada, which shot a solid 196.

Bulldog senior Austin Amburgey also posted a career-low round of 48.

Sophomore Brevin Sizemore carded a 51 while senior Rob Allison registered a 56.

Freshman Kamron Wilkerson posted a 65 and senior Jake Colwell added a score of 71.

Ada soccer boys down Rangers

ADA - The Ada boys soccer team whipped visiting New Knoxville 5-1 Tuesday evening.

The Bulldogs improved to 5-2 with the win.

Chris Reyes scored two goals to pace the Ada offense along with Brendan Sheridan, who dished out three assists and netted a goal.

Nick Kamatali and Skylar Williams each tallied a goal.

Jon Allen and Jacob Poling both had one assist.

Keeper Drew Hadley made eight saves in goal.

The Bulldogs visit NCOSA rival Van Buren Thursday, Sept. 20

Ada girls whip Wildcats

DELPHOS - The visiting Ada volleyball team cruised to a straight-set win over Delphos Jefferson Tuesday night in a Northwest Conference battle.

The first-place Lady Bulldog spikers improved to 8-4 overall and 3-0 in the NWC with the 25-17, 25-15, 25-16 victory. It was their 19th straight win in league play over the past three seasons.

The Wildcats fell to 3-8 overall and 0-2 with the defeat.

Sophomore middle Megan Light knocked down 10 kills to help pace the offense.

Women’s soccer wins

Sophomore Jenna Fuller scored in the 54th minute to lead the Ohio Northern women's soccer team in a 1-0 victory at Oberlin on Tuesday. The Polar Bears improve to 4-2-0, while the Yeowomen fall to 3-4-0.
