BLUFFTON - The Ada and Bluffton golf squads played a makeup four-team Northwest Conference match Tuesday at the Bluffton Golf Course to finish the regular season.
Bluffton won with 166 strokes, followed by Lincolnview (178), Delphos Jefferson (185) and Ada (219).
Senior Jacob Morgan led Ada with a nine-hole tally of 53. Juniors Dexter Woods and Andrew Rush each posted rounds of 55. Junior Kamron Wilkerson was the fourth Bulldog scorer with a 56.
Sophomore Geddes Klingler registered a 64 and freshman Jack Baumgartner added a 66 to round out the Ada efforts.

ADA - The host Ada volleyball team was swept by hard-hitting local rival Allen East in a league match Tuesday evening on Senior Night.
The 25-20, 25-22, 25-15 defeat dropped the Lady Bulldog overall record to 6-6 and 0-3 in the NWC. AE improved to 7-3 and 2-0 in NWC play with the convincing victory.
"We had our good spots, but we were not very consistent," said Ada third-year head coach Kyleigh Tabor. "We dug big holes in the first and third sets."
Before the National Football League’s Thursday Night Football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns even kicked off, it was clear to all that the “Battle of Ohio” went to Northern.
Dr. Adriane Thompson Bradshaw, ONU’s vice president for student affairs and dean of students, sang the Star Spangled Banner before the nationally broadcast game and delivered a magnificent rendition. For ONU Bengals fans it was undoubtedly the high point of the evening, as their team fell to their in-state rival 35-30, but for that moment, even the most die-hard fans were united.

COLUMBUS GROVE - After a close defensive first half, the Ada girls soccer team gave up five second-half goals and lost 6-0 at Columbus Grove Monday evening in a Northwest Conference match.
Ada fell to 2-6 and 0-3 in the NWC with the defeat. CG improved to 6-4 and 4-1 in league play with a victory in the battle of the Bulldogs.
Grove junior Maddie Thompson netted the game's first goal in the 23rd minute, and the score stayed 1-0 to intermission.
Just 1:23 into the second half, CG junior Kenzie King scored to give the hosts a little breathing room up 2-0.

ADA - The Ada boys soccer team whipped visiting Lincolnview 4-0 Monday night at the park to stay atop the Northwest Conference standings.
Following the victory, the Bulldog record improved to 5-3 overall and 3-0 in the NWC. The Lancers fell to 1-5-3 and 0-3 in league play with the defeat.
Ada is in first place in the conference standings with nine points, ahead of defending champion Bluffton (2-0 NWC) and Spencerville (2-1 NWC) with six points apiece.
The Bulldogs and undefeated Pirates (8-0-1) meet at Bluffton September 28 in a first-place showdown.
