The ONU Symphony will perform at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15 in the Freed Center.  Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for ONU faculty and staff, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students. The Freed Center box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Ada Cub Scout Bears took a field trip to the ONU forensics department. Scouts are (from left) Ella Marshall, Chase Jarrett, Timothy Chrissobolis, Dylan Marshall, Brendan Taylor and Joshua Scott. Professors are Dr. Harold Schueller (left) and Dr. Dennis DeLuca. A forensics biologist performs DNA analysis, and toxicology and drug analysis to test physical evidence from arrests and crime scenes.

Mrs. Cristin St. Laurent and the Ada Elelmentary third graders organized a canned food drive. More than 1000 items were donated to the Ada Food Pantry last week.

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team jumped two spots to No. 17 in the United Soccer Coaches poll, and received votes in the D3Soccer.com poll, both released on Tuesday, Oct. 3.

Northern (8-1-1 overall) jumped two spots in the United Soccer Coaches poll after posting a 2-1 victory over Mount Union last week.

The University of Chicago took the top spot, while Washington (Mo.) ranked second and the College of New Jersey rounded out the top-3.

In the D3Soccer.com poll, ONU received votes for the second consecutive week.

Ada elementary youth are going to the dentist today and Wednesday. Actually, the dentist is coming to them. The program is a simple dental health check taking place at the school. (Ada Bulldog Facebook photo)
