A book by one of the world's most read authors, Paulo Coelho, will be discussed at the next meeting of the Adult Book Club at the Ada Public Library. The group will meet to discuss "The Alchemist" at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7. All are welcome to join the club.

Coelho's works have been translated into many languages. "The Alchemist" is his most popular novel. He was born in Portugal, but now makes his home in Brazil.  He has over 12 million Facebook followers.

"The Alchemist" is described as "dazzling in its simplicity and inspiring wisdom about a Spanish shepherd boy traveling to the Egyptian desert in search of buried treasure. Along the way he meets a Gypsy woman, a man who calls himself king, an alchemist and others."
