Ada 1932:
June 1932 the transfer of the Ada Public Library from the Ada Federated Clubs to the new district library boards was in effect. Mrs. George Stambaugh was elected chairman of the new seven-member board.
July 1932 reconstruction of the elevator of the Ada Farmers Exchange was started. It had been destroyed by fire.
October 1932 Main Street from Lincoln Avenue to Highland Avenue was widened 2 ½ feet on both sides and 26 boulevard lights were installed. Slabs of old wooden sewers were dug up in front of the Liberty Bank Main and Buckeye). Nailed together with square wrought-iron nails, they had been underground for over 50 years.
