Here's some news updates from the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce concerning events in Ada.
• This Saturday, there will be a beer tasting at The Cask Room. From 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. three alumni ONU students will be promoting four flavors of beer from their “Pigskin Brew Co.”
Also a BBQ Wagon will sell sandwich’s out front. A good way to spend a Saturday after the ONU game.
• Regular membership meeting Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 8 a.m. at Community Health Professionals. Discussion will center on last-minute plans for the Halloween event on Oct. 26.
The Ohio Northern University’s Annual Residence Life Trick-or-Treat will be held Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 5:15 p.m. Registration begins at 5 p.m. and will be held in the McIntosh Activities Room.
Children of all ages are encouraged to dress up, join for lots of fun and candy with the ONU students. All children must be accompanied by a parent.
There will be a bag decorating station for kids to make a trick or treat bag to take while they go trick or treat.
A costume contest will be held in the McIntosh Ballroom at 6:45 p.m. The contest is divided into relevant ages groups and creativity/resemblance of character, originality and presentation will be considered.
Constance L. Centers, 77, died on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at 3:42 a.m. at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born on April 15, 1938, in Ashland, Kentucky to Russell E. and Darlene (Clevenger) Ellenberg who preceded her in death. On April 4, 1986, she married Phillip W. Centers and he survives in Dayton.
Constance was a homemaker. She was a member of the Washington Heights Baptist Church of Kettering. Ohio
She is also survived by two daughters: Jill (Jeff) Risner of Aurora and Joan (Jim) McBride of Ada; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Rice and several brothers and sisters.

A reception and talk with Wilson will take place in room 115 of the Wilson Art Center on Friday, Oct. 16, at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served in the lobby of the Elzay Gallery.
The Ohio Northern University Department of Art and Design presents Mapping Katrina, dynamic visual documentation of New Orleans before, during and after Hurricane Katrina, in the Elzay Gallery of Art from Oct. 16 to Dec. 13.
