Polar Paws helping make a difference
Watch the video by Mana Hashimoto below -
You’ve seen them on the ONU campus and walking in downtown Ada.
The Icon recently checked in with two student leaders involved with ONU Polar Paws. It’s an on-campus student organization teamed up with 4 Paws for Ability.
Polar Paws helps prepare dogs to become service animals by training them in development and socialization.
Icon intern Mana Hashimoto created a video featuring volunteer trainers and officers of the organization, Carah Porter (with her dog Nalu), and Chrissy Kurilec (with her dog) Johnnycakes.
Carah, president of Polar Paws, is a senior psychology major from Holmes County, Ohio. Chrissy, vice-president of Polar Paws, is a junior psychology major, from Madison, Ohio.
The organization has seven dogs on campus this spring. For additional information about the program visit Polar Paws on Facebook by clicking here. You may also visit 4 Paws for Ability at its website by clicking here.
