Hardin Leadership Class forming; deadline March 3

Hardin Leadership Inc. is recruiting participants for the twenty-ninth annual Hardin Leadership class, a program designed for the development of informed and effective community leaders.

Nine monthly sessions will focus on the knowledge/skills needed by community leaders, such as public speaking, conflict management, and marketing. This year’s program will be offered in morning sessions, March through November.

2021 participant Lindsay Walden, a Vice President at Sheldon Gas and director of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce, found that program benefitted her work and personal lfie. She told the Icon, "If you're a young professional starting out in Hardin County, [it's a] great opportunity to meet some seasoned professionals and people who are super active in the community." She found the time commitment to be very manageable.

A tuition fee of $350.00 per person covers the expenses of the program. Employers/organizations are encouraged to sponsor participants.  A payment of $25.00 of the tuition fee is recommended to be paid by each participant as an indication of commitment to the program.

At least three scholarships are available to Hardin County residents who would be self-paying participants. Scholarship application information is included on
the program brochure (below).

Class enrollment is limited to 24 participants. For more information, contact the Steering Committee by emailing [email protected], by phoning 567-674-2579, or by liking the organization on Facebook—Hardin Leadership Inc. and sending a message.
