Two campus organizations will sponsor the third annual Reindeer Run at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, at King-Horn Fieldhouse. Mortar Board honorary and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority will sponsor the 5k and Kid Fun Run with a $15 registration fee, which will provide two or three stuffed polar bears to be given to children at local hospitals. Ohio Northern University is one of the nation's most outstanding law schools, according to The Princeton Review.  The education services company includes the school in the 2018 release of its annual feature, "The Best 169 Law Schools” online at https://www.princetonreview.com/best-law-schools.

Girls' preview: Lady Bulldog cagers young, scrappy

The rebuilding Ada boys basketball team has the size and experience to surprise this winter under second-year head coach Dre White.

GIRLS' PREVIEW IS BELOW -

The young Bulldog mentor endured an occasionally trying initial campaign on the sidelines, but the experience should pay dividends down the line.

Ada finished 4-19 overall and 0-8 in Northwest Conference play in 2016-17. Their top two scorers graduated - second team All-NWC big man Owen Conley and honorable mention all-league wing Jordan Bailey - but the Bulldogs return enough talented lettermen and size to provide optimism for an increased win total.

The Polar Bears will host the 37th Annual ONU Invitational on Saturday at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse ... 10 schools are expected to join ONU in the tournament, which will be a flighted, double-elimination event with the standard 10 NCAA weight classes ... Ohio Northern fell in its Ohio Athletic Conference opener 23-9 to No. 9-ranked Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center ...

coaching staff earned OAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors for the 2017 season.

McVey claimed the honor for the second consecutive season and became the second men's runner in school history to earn the honor in two consecutive seasons. Former Polar Bear standout Jimmy O'Brien earned the honor during the 2007 and 2008 seasons.

 

The Ohio Northern wrestling team will be collecting children's toys and cash donations at the 37th annual ONU Invitational on Saturday at the ONU Sports Center.

Fans can donate a $6 admission fee or a child's toy to get into the tournament, with the proceeds going to provide for needy families in Hardin County.

Last year, the wrestling team raised more than $1,500 and collected dozens of toys to donate.

Wrestling will begin at 9 am and will continue throughout the day.
