Tonight, the Ada High School boys basketball team will tip off their season at home against Ridgemont at 7:30 p.m. For this Bulldog team, tonight represents a chance to start anew after winning just four games last season.

Led by second-year head coach Dre White, Ada will welcome back four returning letterwinners from last season: junior guard Cade Mullins, junior forward Connor Frazier, senior wing Ethan Swaney and senior guard Jackson Conrad. However, Ada will be without two of their biggest playmakers from last year, Owen Conley and Jordan Bailey, who have since graduated.

Icon readers: With college basketball season now in full swing, I have decided to publish a weekly podcast that will give listeners inside access to the Ohio Northern men’s basketball team.

Alongside my co-host (and four-year roommate) Brandon Hawkins, who is also a senior on the team, we will do weekly player interviews as well as breakdowns of each game. We will detail the ups and downs of the season, from the perspective of guys who are on the court and in the locker room every day.

Two campus organizations will sponsor the third annual Reindeer Run at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, at King-Horn Fieldhouse.
Mortar Board honorary and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority will sponsor the 5k and Kid Fun Run with a $15 registration fee, which will provide two or three stuffed polar bears to be given to children at local hospitals.
