Menopause is a natural life transition that marks the permanent end of menstruation and fertility. It occurs when the ovaries stop producing eggs and estrogen levels decline. Menopause is confirmed after 12 consecutive months without menstrual bleeding. For most women, this happens around age 51, though it can occur anywhere between ages 45 and 56.
The Ohio Northern University Department of Art & Design is officially seeking ceramic works by Bruce Chesser for an upcoming retrospective exhibition at the Elzay Gallery of Art. If you currently own pieces by Professor Chesser and would be willing to provide them on loan for the duration of the show, we would love to hear from you.

VAN BUREN__The visiting Ada High School softball team rallied in the late innings to defeat Van Buren 5-4 in the tight conclusion of a suspended Blanchard Valley Conference contest on Thursday, May 14.
The game had been stopped by heavy rain just after starting the top of the first inning on April 22.
The Bulldog girls trailed 4-1 after four innings, and it appeared their six-game win streak was in jeopardy.
Ada scored a run in the fifth inning to edge within two. They then plated three two-out runs in the top of the sixth with the aid of two errors, and held on to win with strong relief pitching and defense 5-4.
Andreasen and St. Laurent win tough doubles 3-setter

LIMA __The Ada High School tennis team competed hard at the Div. III tennis sectional tournament hosted by UNOH.
Seven Bulldogs, including three singles players and two doubles teams, participated in the first day of tournament play.
“We got a lot of experience at the tournament,” said first-year Bulldog head coach Shelleigh Alexander. “Many of our players are right at the cusp of reaching the next level.
”I think the kids all played their best today, and that is what you want at the end of the season,” she noted.
