Safety improvements on Buckeye Ave to be discussed in June 13 public meeting

The Village of Ada will hold a special council and public meeting to discuss proposed safety improvements for the intersection of Buckeye Avenue and Main Street by making Buckeye one-way traffic traveling east from Gilbert Street to Johnson Street  and a proposed change to angle parking.

The meeting will take place Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Community Health Professionals Building, 1200 S. Main St., Ada 

This meeting will be held for the purpose of discussion and receiving public input on changing Buckeye Avenue starting at N. Gilbert through the Main Street intersection and continuing to N. Johnson from two-way traffic to one-way traffic traveling in an easterly direction.

The discussion will also include angle and reverse angle parking for the two-block area. The meeting will include information from the Ada Police Department, traffic study information from Choice One Engineering and estimated costs for the project.

The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Ada Council meets Tuesday, May 2

The Village of Ada Council meets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2 in council chambers at Village Hall, 115 W. Buckeye. The meeting may also be joined remotely with a link available HERE.

One item of legislation is on the agenda, An Ordinance Accepting and Confirming the Dedication of Land to be Part of Clint Drive.

The streets committee will present Village of Ada 2023 Street Paving Program bid results and recommendation for award.

Ada Council meets on May 2

The Ada Village Council will hold its next regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2 in council chambers at 115 W. Buckeye Ave. 

The meeting is open to the public and may be viewed live online.

It's official: Ada Schools join Blanchard Valley Conference

The Ada Exempted Village School District issued the following statement on Wednesday, April 26 regarding its athletic conference affiliation:

The Ada Exempted Village School Board voted to accept the invitation to join the Blanchard Valley Conference. 

We want to express our appreciation to the Northwest Conference and all member schools for their patience throughout this process. 

While we appreciate the rivalries and longstanding traditions we were able to establish in the NWC, we are excited to begin a new chapter as a member of the BVC.

The regular board meeting for Apollo Career Center is scheduled for Monday, April 24, 2023, at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held in Apollo's Board room.
