USA Today bestselling author, Amanda Flower, at Ada Public Library

USA Today bestselling author and Agatha Award Winning mystery writer, Amanda Flower, will speak about her writing, and signing books available for sale at the Ada Public Library at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 18. 

Flower, best known for her Amish mysteries, also writes the popular Andi series for kids, as well as the Amish Quilt Shop Mystery books under the name Isabella Alan. Aside from being a popular author, Flower is also a librarian in northeast Ohio!

Join the library for a conversation and book signing with the author.

All about the creative writing process and Lynne Scott

Ada author Lynne Scott talked about the creative writing process during a talk at the Ada Public Library on Saturday.

Ada author Lynne E. Scott will speak at the Ada Public Library from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Her talk will focus on the creative process of writing.

"I plan to discuss how I got ideas for the stories I wrote and the process of writing them  -  the good, the bad, the ugly," she said.

 Scott's books will also be available for purchase (each is $10).  They are also available on Amazon in paperback or Kindle versions.

Ada Public Library summer reading program is off and running

A good crowd was on hand to sign up for the program to read about horses, stuffed and otherwise.

There were rabbits, chickens, K9 dogs, face painting and more at the library. And, inside there are plenty of books about animals, how to do face painting...just about any subject you can dream about.

It all happens at the Ada Public Library on Saturday

Stop by the Ada Public Library on Saturday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to2 p.m. to sign up for Summer Reading 2016, or to enjoy face painting, 4-H animals, Touch-a-Truck, or to buy books at the huge Friends of the Library Used Book Sale.

Summer Reading will run from Saturday, June 4, to Saturday, July 16, and has something for everyone.

The six-week summer reading calendar is stuffed full of programs for all ages: events geared toward babies and toddlers, daily fun for elementary and high school aged students, and programs of interest for adult too.
