November 29 community meal at St. Mark Lutheran

St. Mark Lutheran Church--located at the corner of Lincoln and Johnson in Ada--will be again sponsoring it's community meal on Wednesday, November 29, from 5 to 6:30, or until they run out.  The meal is free and open to the public.

Youth group meets Sunday evenings at Ada Presbyterian Church

Ada Presbyterian Church has an invitation for Sunday, October 1 for a community-based youth group: "We will have fellowship, teaching, games, and more! We will meet on the first Sunday of every month from 6:00-8:00 p.m."

Monthly community meal this week at St. Mark's

St Mark's Lutheran Church is hosting a free community dinner on Wednesday, August 30. 

Meals will be served from 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m.--or until they run out--at St Mark's,125 S. Johnson St. Ada.

This month the menu includes pulled pork, corn casserole, cole slaw, applesauce and cookies.

The invitation notes: "As always, the meal is free and open to the public and you may dine in, carry out, or drive up for curbside pickup.  We look forward to serving you. See you there."

Trinity Lutheran School celebrates 75th anniversary 

Trinity Lutheran School, Jenera, celebrates 75 years with the 2023-2024 school year. The school was started in Jenera in the fall of 1948 in the church's basement. The first teacher was Mr. Wayne Wiechmann, assisted by Pastor Walter Voss. There were eight grades and kindergarten.

New Beginnings Singspiration Celebration at Alger First Methodist on August 5

The Alger First Methodist Church’s community outreach center, 305 N. Main St., will host live gospel music brought to you by local talent from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on August 5. The program includes the New Hope Youth Band and youth speaker Chase Rose.

The “New Beginnings Singspiration Celebration” include a 5:00-6:00 p.m. Kid’s Hour with free opportunities for kids: meal, face paint artist, balloon twister, games by USV EMT, snow cones, popcorn and t-shirt.

Everyone can enjoy dinner from Slow Smokin’ BBQ. Dine in or carry out meals will be available. For pre-sale tickets contact Kristen Preston at 419-204-7910. Dinners include pulled pork sandwich, cheesy potatoes, green beans, dessert and water.
