Dear Ada Community,
It didn’t take me long to learn that our vision of “Aspiring to excel in all areas of the school experience” is not just words.
Ada Schools really lives this vision. We share it with students and staff alike, and refer to it when making decisions. Recent successes at Ada Schools include improvements in technology, significant increases in the number of College Credit Plus courses offered on campus, a new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) series of classes, additions to middle school electives, and continued implementation of the Literacy Collaborative to improve reading skills for elementary students.

Dear Editor,
During the last few years, as a board member of The United Way of Hardin County, I have been so pleased with the support we have received from our county residents and business. Hardin County people taking care of Hardin County people!
In the words by Nelson Mandela, "It is in your hands to create a better world for all who live in it" is an immeasurable characteristic of Hardin County! With your assistance, United Way can continue to fulfill it's mission, mobilizing the caring power of our community. Through the communities support, our 21 non-profit agencies are able to continue the many services provided to our residents.
Thank you volunteers and for all the Ada community support

2018 Red Cross Learn To Swim Program is completed for this summer. 75 students participated in the nine days of lessons! We had great weather again this year, although a cooler second week. I would like to thank the Village of Ada for the facility to hold the lessons. The pool staff had the facility open and ready for the volunteers and swimmers each morning. The water was wonderful, the pool area was always clean and ready for our use and the lifeguards were very attentive to the swimmers.
Letter to the Editor -
To the residents of Ada and Liberty Township
By Thomas Miller
Chief, Ada/Liberty EMS
I would like to share some information to dispel the negative and unjust information that seems to be floating around Facebook and the community.
Ada/Liberty EMS is a volunteer emergency medical crew consisting of 14 skilled medical providers of various levels. We are the second busiest EMS department in Hardin County next to BKP on 911 calls with about 600 runs a year, or about 50 calls a month. Our 14 members cover the majority of these runs all hours of the day and night.
Summer is here and so is the time for Red Cross Swimming Lessons! As in past years the Ada Learn To Swim Program is in need of aides to assist with the lessons.
Ages 12 and up, including adults are encouraged to sign up to help others learn swimming skills. As little as an hour each day of lessons is helpful. Lessons begin the week of July 16 for 2 weeks, Monday through Friday each week.
Help is needed on deck for paperwork as well as in the water. You do not need to be a good swimmer to help others...we'll help you as well:) A training session will be held on TUESDAY, July 10, from 9-11 am.
