Ada Schools has officially transitioned from Remind to ParentSquare, a new unified communication platform designed to keep families informed and connected—all in one place!

Beginning this month, ParentSquare will replace Remind and other communication tools, making it easier than ever to receive updates from your child's classroom, activities, athletics, and the district.

JULY 15 MEDIA RELEASE__The boil water advisory for the 700 and 800 blocks of S. Johnson St. has been lifted.

Water samples have been tested, and the results confirm that no contamination was detected in the public water system. The water is safe to drink, cook with, brush your teeth, and use as normal.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and cooperation while we worked through the water main break and completed the required testing to ensure the safety of our water system.

FROM FACEBOOK__On July 13-17, July 20-22 and July 27-31, the Ada Municipal Pool will be opening early for adults and children ages 12 and under to enjoy the pool.

All children must be accompanied by an adult and will not be admitted unless the adult is coming in with the child.

The middle and deep sections of the pool will not be open due to lap swim occurring from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

You may continue to stay at the pool after this designated time for normal hours.

Cost: $5 per person; children 3 and under are free!

Last week, I hadn't heard of an LPR (automated license plate reader) or Flock camera. With the appearance of a solar-powered stationary LPR near the intersection of state routes 235 and 309--which has been noted on social media--I asked Hardin County and Ada law enforcement officials for some background.

August 20 - Open House for grades 1-12, 6:30-8:00 p.m.

August 24 - First day of school

August 26 - Open House for kindergarten only, 6:30-8:00 p.m.

September 7 - No school, Labor Day

September 8 - No school, Fair Day

September 28 - MS/HS picture day

September 30 - Elementary picture day

October 10 - Homecoming dance

October 23 - End of first quarter

October 29 - No school, staff PD day

October 30 - No school, floating holiday

November 12 - Picture day retakes
