Timothy James "TJ" Griffin worked at Route 30 Harley-Davidson

On Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, TJ Griffin took his final ride, leaving behind his best friend and wife, Patty (Wince), his greatest gift, daughter Faith and loving stepchildren Justice and Brayden Cheney.

TJ was born on October 20, 1983 to Tim E. Griffin, who precedes him in death and mother Deborah P. Martin. Also surviving are siblings Jessica (Brian) McKinley and Josh "JD" (Diana) Griffin, Grandmother Ruth Griffin, Aunt Carol Ann Griffin, Uncle Gene Griffin, Uncle Gary Shick, Aunt Darlene Shick, stepbrothers, Brock (Kara) Martin, Dustin (Lori) Crabtree, Lance Crabtree, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

TJ always had a love for motorcycles, taking his first ride as a baby. Motorcycles were in his blood. Aside from his wife and kids, he lived and breathed motorcycles. His greatest achievement was in 2012, he was selected to be a builder for the Smoke Out Chop Off in North Carolina. He was featured in The Horse magazine. In the biker community he was known as "Irish." He was proud of his Irish roots.

Rex Russell Kellogg served in the U.S. Navy Reserve

FOREST--Rex Russell Kellogg, 84, of Forest, OH, passed away Sat, April 1, 2023. Rex was born July 3, 1938 to Max and Edith (Beach) Kellogg. He was married to the love of his life, Mary Martha Best Ream, deceased. Rex is survived by a step-daughter and son-in-law whom he considered his own daughter and son, Tim and Carrie (Ream) Woodruff, Ada OH, step-son Jerry Ream, Elwood IN. granddaughter Britney (Kyle) Ricker, grandson John (Kyleigh) Woodruff, 3 great-grandkids: Riley and Abby Ricker, and Teddy Woodruff. Rex was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth (Marjorie "Midge" Sprang) Kellogg. He had 3 nephews: Curtis (Connie) Kellogg, Randy (Kelly) Kellogg and Scott Kellogg and 1 niece Janette Shocklee. And devoted friends: Don and Lynne and the Whitten family.

Andrew James Rettig served in the U.S. Navy

Andrew James Rettig, of Ada, peacefully passed away on December 23, 2022.  He was the son of John Rettig and Rose Ann Zachariah Wallace.

Andy is survived by his children: Wyatt Rettig, and Samantha “Sami” Rettig; parents: John and Kay Rettig; brothers: Tony, Kelly (Kandi), Scott (Stefanie), Matt (Jolene); and girlfriend, Kristen Crouch.  Andy is also survived by nieces: Jessica and Eliza; nephews: Tony II, Johnathan, and Charles; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Gladys Irene Hall was a librarian

Gladys Irene Hall, age 93, of Ada, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at the Betty House at Willow Ridge, Bluffton.

She was born January 29, 1930 in Franklin Furnace, Ohio to Boyd and Clora (Dotson) Hall.  She was the ninth child.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Kelly, Homer, Hobart, and Russell Hall; and four sisters, Zella Patton, Della Gullett, Velva Conley and Beatrice Mears.  She is survived by nieces and nephews. Photo HERE.

Funeral arrangements for Kathleen Bickel

Kathleen Mae (Keith) Bickel was finally reunited with the love of her life on March 26, 2023.  She was a beloved wife for twenty-eight years to Mark Bickel. Kathleen's photo is HERE.

Kathleen lived a long, happy life and died peacefully in her sleep at Hospice of Dayton.

Katherine Johnson worked for Upper Scioto Valley High School

Katherine J. “Kack” Johnson, age 92, of McGuffey, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 12:20 a.m. at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

She was born on June 21, 1930, in McGuffey, Ohio to the late Okey and Cloie (Jordan) Risner.  On August 13, 1950, Katherine married James Johnson and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2017.
