Obituaries

Linda Lou LaRue, age 72, of Ada, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Vancrest of Ada.  

She was born on July 9, 1952 in Foraker, Ohio to the late Franzel and Virgie (Prater) Castle.  On January 14, 1973 Linda married Robert “Butch” LaRue and he survives in Ada. 

Also surviving is her son, Robert “Chip” (Stacie) LaRue, Jr. of Mt. Victory; a grandson, Hunter LaRue; a brother, Frank Castle of Alger; and five sisters: Mary Simon of Ada, Betty Warmbrod of Kenton, Charlene (Doug) Karfit of Ada, Thelma Smith of Belle Center and Lisa Castle of Weekie Wachee, FL. 

Donna Ruth (Hadley) Gisondi, age 88, of Bluffton, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 29, 1936 she was the daughter of Donald and Margaret Hadley who resided in Waynesville, Ohio. On April 14, 1956 she married James (Jim) David Markley and moved to Lebanon, Ohio where together they would raise their family. James preceded her in death in April of 2000.  

Janet P. Kearns, age 87, of McGuffey, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at her residence, surrounded by her family. 

She was born on October 6, 1937 in McGuffey, Ohio to the late Okey and Cloie (Jordan) Risner. On December 27, 1958 Janet married John K. Kearns and he preceded her in death on February 14, 2021.

Cora Lea Gunther, age 79, of Dunkirk, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Blanchard Place in Kenton. 

She was born on November 1, 1945 in Hardin County, Ohio to Pete and Fana (Conley) Inmon who preceded her in death. On September 21, 1963 she married William Edward Gunther and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2019. 

Cora retired as a secretary.  She was an assistant Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Dunkirk Community Improvement Corp, a member of the Findlay Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a board member of the Hardin County Community Center.  

Carl D. Wagner, 90, passed away January 9, 2025 at Serenity Springs Senior Living in Arlington.  Carl was born April 27, 1934 in Orange Township to the late Louis and Helen (Nusbaum) Wagner.  On May 18, 1952 he married Mary Gudakunst Wagner who preceded him in death on December 18, 2023 after seventy-one years of marriage.

Gregory Scott Neeley, age 58, of Jenera, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024. 

He was born October 23, 1966 to Connie J. Neeley and Oxie “O.C” Neeley in Lima, Ohio. Greg is proceeded in death by his mother, Connie Neeley and his father Oxie Neeley. 

Greg is survived by his brother, Shawn (Krista) Neeley, New Stark Ohio, special to him niece Ashley (Shane) Neeley-Hogan, Dola Ohio, and Laekin Loomis, Mountain Home Idaho, great niece and nephews, also his forever love and best friend Tracie.
