Ask Christa Moore who is the most famous living person she'd like to meet
15 minutes with Christa Moore
What year are you at Ada High School?
I’m a senior.
What are your plans after high school?
I’ve been accepted at Ohio State University, Columbus. I plan to double major in psychology and criminal justice studies. After college I want to obtain a master’s and then a doctorate. I hope to attend John Jay College of Criminal Studies for those degrees. So, I’d like to become a forensic psychologist.
Is that what you wanted to be when you were little?
No, I wanted to be a doctor, but then in high school I received terrible grades in math and science.
What classes are you enrolled in this semester?
Physics, Calculus, band (I play flute), Personal Finance, Spanish 4, Advanced Placement English, and I’m a library worker.
What’s the state of your school locker at the moment?
(Laugh). It’s pretty messy.
Can you name one of your favorite all-time books?
“A Time to Kill,” by John Grisham. My friends keep complaining that I keep reading it.
You’ve read it more than once?
Yes.
How long have you played the flute?
Since fifth grade.
Ever do solo and ensemble contest with the flute?
No.
What’s your favorite all-time movie?
That’s difficult, but I enjoy the Nightmare on Elm Street series. When I was 6 I woke up from a nightmare, when downstairs, watched a Freddy Kruger movie and slept perfectly calm the rest of the night. At least that’s what my mom said.
How about the worst movie?
That would be Snakes on the Plane. It’s the only movie that gives me nightmares.
Tell me about Spanish class. Why four years?
I’m working toward an honors diploma. I enjoy the class and the teacher.
How would you describe yourself as an organized or disorganized person?
Well, despite the state of my locker, I’m pretty organized. I like to get my work done early so I can revise it if I need to.
Do you text much?
Not really. I mostly use the phone. That’s my preferred line of communication. I’m also not on facebook that much either.
Who is the most famous living person you’d like to meet?
Jeff Hardy the wrestler. I want TNA, that’s Total Non-stop Action wrestling on Thursdays. And on weekends I watch WWE, which is World Wrestling Entertainment.
Who don’t you like in the world of wrestling?
C.M. Punk. He’s the bad guy.
I suppose you’d love to see a live match?
I’d love that. You see, I grew up with three older brothers who are wrestling fans.
So, when you aren’t studying or watching wrestling, what are you doing?
Reading. I like to read. I can read a couple books in a day depending upon the amount of free time I have. I can block out all the distractions around me. I might read five or more books a week.
Have any pets?
Yes, I just got a new puppy, Eris, this month. She’s a Chihuahua-Pomeranian-pug mix.
Thanks for talking with us, I'll let you get back to class.
