15 minutes with Ted Hadley
Interviewed by Nathan Hurtig
I’m talking with Ted Hadley, who will be a junior at Ada High School next year.
What are your plans for this summer?
I am going to get started on earning money for college and the marching band’s trip to Disneyland. I’ve applied to Subway, so I hope I’ll get the job!
Tell me about the music you listen to.
Usually I listen to whatever is on the radio. My favorite genre is probably rock music, and my favorite band is the Black Eyed Peas.
If you could take any celebrity out to a restaurant, who and where would you choose?
I’d take Mike Trout, one of my favorite baseball players, to Viva Maria’s. I want to ask Mike Trout how he got so successful. He’s regarded as one of the nicest athletes, and I want to learn how he handled his quick climb to fame.
Which class are you most excited to take next year?
I’m looking forward to taking Intro to Film and Lit because I love watching movies.
Name your favorite thing about Ada High School.
I think my favorite thing is how everyone here has the freedom to pursue their own goals.
Tell me something interesting that not many people know about you.
I have a really powerful memory. I can tell you anything about my childhood.
Do you have any funny stories from your childhood that you can remember?
Back in 1st grade, I thought I was going to be arrested. When my teacher found out that I didn’t fill out many of the crosswords and word searches she assigned, I got scared that I would fail the class. Naturally, my first fear was that if I did fail the class, I’d get arrested! I guess I overreacted a bit to the whole situation.
