Wildcat girls down Ada kickers
The Ada girls soccer team lost to visiting Delphos Jefferson 6-3 in a Northwest Conference match Monday evening, October 11, at War Memorial Stadium.
The Lady Bulldog record dropped to 2-9-1 overall and 0-4-1 in the NWC after the defeat.
The Wildcat girls improved to 5-7-3 and 2-3-1 in the NWC with the win.
DJ led 4-0 at halftime, but Ada bounced back to outscore the Wildcats 3-2 after intermission.
Ella Marshall netted two goals for Ada, while Olivia Burkhart tallied the other goal.
"I'm proud of how we played in the second half," said Ada head coach A.J. Wahlie. "We knew after being down in the first half that we needed to start by winning the second half.
"We accomplished that, and just couldn't quite catch up in time. They fought until the end, and I am proud of the group for the grit they showed tonight," Wahlie added.
Wildcats Kyra Foust and Haylee Bauman each scored two goals. DJ's Aubree Bayman and Rylynn Marquiss both netted one goal.
