Tuesday evening swim now 8-10 p.m.; pool rules reminder
The Ada Municipal Pool announced the following on June 16:
"We would like to start this post off with a big thank you! A thank you to those who support our pool whether that be throughout each day or by simply passing along the word to a friend. We have had an overwhelming number of patrons on Tuesday's midnight swim and in order to keep our staff and patrons safe we have decided to suspend midnight swim.
"We will have a nightly swim each Tuesday from 8:00-10:00 p.m. We will closely monitor the number of patrons entering in order to ensure we have an adequate number of lifeguards on duty.
"We are a family friendly, safe environment and we would like to remind everyone who patronizes the pool that we do not allow alcohol or anyone who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you are suspected of being under the influence you will be denied access to the pool. A few more rules we would like to remind everyone to follow are listed below!"
ADA POOL RULES
1) No outside coolers, food or drink inside the pool facility. We offer great options in our concessions but you may get a stamp to eat your own food in the park!
2) Play safe! No chicken fights, dunking, running on the deck or hanging on the blocks or ropes. You should not be distracting the lifeguards or other staff.
3) Only one jump and a forward motion into the pool are allowed on the diving board. NO gainers or backflips. No jumping off ladders or chairs.
4) Clean up after yourself. Throw away wrappers, plates, diapers and paper towels in trashcans. No spitting of any kind!
5) Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the pool facility. We also prohibit glass bottles and alcohol/drug use on pool property.
6) Swimming is prohibited when there is no lifeguard on duty. During 15 minute breaks, the only people in the water should be adults 18+ and their toddlers.
7) Proper swim wear must be worn in the pool. No pants, sweatshirts or socks. Infants/toddlers should wear a swim diaper.
8) Profane language will NOT be tolerated by any individual whether the language is directed towards someone or not.
9) The use of balls, floatation devices and tubes are at the discretion of the lifeguards. None of these are allowed on the slide.
10) No food in the water, including chewing gum. Please keep food and drinks in designated areas.
