Here's your final chance to enter the Icon's high school football contest

The winner of Week 9 of The Icon Football Contest is Mark Delisle.  Two contestants correctly picked 9 games this week and Mark was declared the winner by virtue of the 2nd tie-breaker.

Melissa Gossard co-coach; Wyss and Walden on the Division IV east volleyball team

Ada HS volleyball coach, Melissa Gossard, is the co-coach of the 2014 All-Star Division IV Volleyball match in November.

The All-Star Volleyball Match for District 8 seniors will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Van Wert High School. Admission is $2 for adults $1 for students.

Sidney Faine named to first team all-NWC girls' soccer

Sidney Faine, Ada junior, was named to the first team all-Northwest Conference girls's soccer team. Rielyn Castle, sophomore, was named to the second team. Kaitlyn Long, sophomore, and Grade Nelson, sophomore, were named honorable mention.

Allen East sophomore Leah Casey was voted the 2014 Northwest Conference “Player of The Year. Lamar Houston (AE) was selected as "Coach of the Year" in the balloting.

Walden, Woods on NWC volleyball first team

Ada's Lindsay Walden, senior, and Melinda Woods, freshman, were named to the first team, all-Northwest Conference in volleyball. Named to the second team were Carlee Marshall, junior, and Tori Wyss, senior. Megan Simon, junior, was named honorable mention.

Crestview senior Courtney Trigg was voted the 2014 Northwest Conference “Player of The Year.” Trigg had also earned first team honors in last year's balloting. Tammy Gregory of Crestview was voted NWC Coach of the Year by her peers.

Dale Badertscher continues tied with cumulative lead in football contest

The winner of Week 8 of The Icon Football Contest is Ruth Johnson.  Four contestants correctly picked all 10 games this week, but Ruth was declared the winner by correctly predicting Bluffton to win by 19 or more points.
