Fourth grade food art
Ada is well-known for great places to eat.
Now there’s a new place to eat in town, but you can only look – don’t taste.
Ada fourth graders, working in art class, recently concluded a clay food project.
Kristie Steiner, elementary art teacher, explained the project this way: “Students are asked to choose what food they would like to create using different clay techniques they have learned.
“After their art is fired, they can paint them to look as 'real' as the food looks. I have done this project for a few years and the students love it and younger ones look forward to it each year.”
