ServeOhio supports UW partnership with New Hope Homeless Shelter
Kenton __The United Way of Hardin County is one of twenty-five agencies awarded funding through ServeOhio. The United Way and area volunteers are working in partnership with the New Hope Homeless Shelter to create a family area. Two rooms are being redecorated and furnished to serve as a family friendly space for a parent and any children who may find themselves in need of shelter.
ServeOhio Day exists to encourage and promote hands-on volunteer engagement while school is out for the summer. The grants will fund service projects in 20 Ohio cities led by nearly 1,400 volunteers.
Volunteers interested in serving in their community for ServeOhio Day or at any time throughout the year can visit Get Connected, ServeOhio’s statewide volunteer engagement platform.
